In contrast to the warm turquoise waters of the shallow practice areas, the actual trail is at first intimidating. The temperature change of deeper water and the muscle of the currents at first makes one wonder if this was money better spent.

With reassurance from our guides and a few minutes of adjustment, we form groups’ and embark to the trail and the sights that wait.
A cheap underwater camera is necessary. Available at most stores and dive shops along the boardwalk they are disposable but do not provide the quality one anticipated. Otherwise, your Underwater pictures are not exactly what you expected. If you choose a camera without specific film to compensate for water reflection, your prints are bluish and flat.
Do not despair this is correctable. You can take your finished underwater pictures to a photo shop with scanning ability and color correction, which will produce the same image you had seen through the viewfinder. These underwater pictures were salvaged the same way and my pride with them.
Bright colored schools of fish and coral formations appear suddenly and in a silent world, you try to get the attention of your group. A lot of butt slapping takes place here with much appreciation. We found it amazing how distant you become from the surface world as you transform into a world of your own.
Soon the whistle blows to return and the adventure is over, enjoy the sights in the meantime.

Well, do you think it is worth the trip?
ENJOY BUCK ISLAND!
